With the help of my beautiful sister-in-constabulary Amanda, who was kind enough to model for these photos and assistance me come up with the looks, we put together six unique ways to wear a silk scarf (with tutorials for each).

There were a lot of giggles and some definite trouble shooting throughout the process, but nosotros ironed out the kinks and have tried to describe things in as much detail as possible. Some of these are actually easy and a few are a chip more hard. Only you can handle it. Don't worry! And if yous're having trouble, choice upwards a bottle of wine and invite a friend over so you tin can practice. I'll allow you know which ones are the most hard.

P.S. Before nosotros become started, the scarf we used for this shoot is Karen Walker in case you are wondering. And you lot'll need a square scarf for all of these tutorials.

How to recreate this wait:Fold your scarf into a long, skinny rectangle and treat it like an untied necktie. Start going through the steps of tying a tie (four in hand knot works just fine), merely earlier you loop the top piece into the knot to finish upward, stop. Do not complete that last pace. Just let the top slice of your scarf bomb over the meridian and style to your liking.

Level of difficulty:Pretty easy – if yous can tie a tie, you won't take any trouble with this i.

Then decide what side you lot'll want it on and then put your hair up in a height bun on that side. Now information technology'south fourth dimension to tackle the scarf.

Turn your square scarf so that it looks more like a diamond. Grab the lesser point of your diamond and fold it upwardly so that the bespeak hits near the middle of your scarf. Put the function of the scarf that was merely folded at the back of your head (with fold underneath and so it doesn't show) and plough toward the side opposite of your hair bun.
